  • Descrizione: Set in a drawing room decorated in Louis XIII style, a magician makes dancers appear and disappear from a hexagonal box that resembles a huge cigar box. The film forms part of what is known as 'cinema of attractions', successor to the popular shows of the late nineteenth century. Beyond a simple narrative, the film seeks to astound and amaze the audience through a series of visual tricks: transformations, overlays, substitutions and reverse motion, among other effects.
